Haruna Water has two factories in the Azumino area of Nagano Prefecture, the Ariake Plant and the Matsukawa Plant, both located in the Northern Alps at an altitude of about 3,000m. The meltwater from the Northern Alps, which gushes down at 13℃ throughout the year, has been selected as one of the Ministry of the Environment's 100 Famous Waters. The abundant spring water, which produces about 700,000 tons per day, is also suitable for growing wasabi, and the Azumino region is the largest producer in Japan.
